Learning Lab: Thinking Patterns & Bias

Learning Labs
January 17, 2023

Learning Lab #41

Our brains are capable of remarkable feats and rapid responses. But they also work from learned patterns, preferring short cuts to analytical thinking.

We’re biased in ways which influence our judgement and decision making.

This session will examine natural processes in our thinking, and their limiting tendencies. We’ll consider the effect of patterns, narrative and cognitive bias – how they shape our views and judgements of people and the world in general.

This session will be of great value to leaders, coaches and HR professionals wanting to work with deeper understanding of mental processes and anyone wanting to raise awareness of factors in their own thinking and judgement.

- This session was designed by Jonathan Bowring
