Learning Lab: Handling Dilemmas in Coaching

Learning Labs
July 9, 2020

Learning Lab #13

Dilemmas frequently pop up in coaching conversations.

Often, they are a choice between what seems like a safer option and a riskier or more adventurous option.

Sometimes these dilemmas can hang around for weeks, months and even years and are the cause of frustration and anxiety. They can be personal or professional, or a combination of both.

The purpose of this session is to look at a range of approaches for helping clients to resolve these dilemmas and to help them to make good choices.

By 'good', we mean choices that are ‘ecological’ in terms of their internal drivers and take full account of their external context.
