For a quarter of a century our flagship Intensive Coaching Skills (ICS) Programme has helped coaches flourish. It’s been the launchpad for a legion of professionals who put coaching at the heart of what they do. Perhaps you're one of them and you’re thinking: what next? In this lab we will celebrate the amazing participants and facilitators who make the ICS special. Going behind the scenes, we’ll shine a light on our whole-person approach that enables people to become the best coach they can be.

We’ll travel beyond the ICS experience to explore the resounding impact it’s had, and continues to have, on so many different coaching journeys.

You can expect:

• Something Old: A chance to meet with colleagues for whom ICS has been a significant career milestone. To understand the role it is playing in our coaching journeys - an encounter with coaching which many describe in their feedback as “Life Changing.”
• Something New: Practical ideas for leveraging the impact of your initial coach-skills training; adapting favourite activities for new situations; catching and feeding the learning bug that keeps coaching fresh.
• Something for Sharing: From thinkers and practitioners in and outside the MF community. Sample the research, wit, wisdom, and unconditional positive regard for people, which we put into our programmes.

This Lab will support you to articulate where you’ve been on your coaching skills journey, what it means for you now, and where you want it to take you. It will be of keen interest to anyone who has completed the ICS, as well as those who want to understand what goes into making it such a nurturing, stimulating and memorable experience.

Our Facilitator

Matt Driver is current lead for the Intensive Coaching Skills (ICS) Programme. Under his guidance, the programme has gone from strength to even greater strength. (He'll be joined by some of the star-facilitators past and present that make the ICS magic happen.) Matt is one of the most experienced coaches and trainers at MF. Part of our team for many years, he also manages the prestigious ILM coaching qualifications. Matt has put his own mark on these, insisting that they are not an end in themselves, but are by-products of an optimal learning experience for all candidates.
