We hear a lot about the rapidly changing Coaching Landscape: what's out there in the workplace and wider world that risks disrupting the coaching business. This month's Learning Lab will help us pay attention to our own Coaching Mindscape: what we have in here, within us, that makes the coaching we do a human craft.
We invite you to come and consider those human capacities that give your coaching an edge.
Some of the edges we've been thinking about recently include:
- The reflective edge: inner work that lingers beyond in-the-moment coaching.
- The courageous edge: how challenge springs us out of the echo chamber.
- The contextual edge: the wider, real-world, systems in which we've grown.
- The ethical edge: the value of values shared between professionals.
- The creative synthesis edge: what we put together to make the work our own.
Throughout the session, there'll be a focus on lifelong learning: how coaches continue to cultivate their capacities, and stay sharp. We'll acknowledge how our Coaching Mindscapes set the broad background scene for more specific tools, skills, models and attitudes of our craft - things like the MF Coaching Mindset (subject of a future Lab!)
There'll be lots of opportunity to connect, share and interact with other humans who have a deep interest in coaching and learning.
Our Facilitators:
Learning Lab producer Hugh Reynolds, will be joined by Pippa Gough and Dom Lydon. Both Pippa and Dom are supervisors on our renowned ILM qualification programmes, as well as being top consultants, great coaches and possessors of fascinating mindscapes.
