No two people respond to a learning programme in precisely the same way. However, as one of our recent partnerships proves, with some intense and high-energy speed coaching sessions you can help focus minds and consolidate learning.
We’re delighted to have been working with one of the world’s leading online marketplaces for luxury goods to support their six-month Manager Development Programme.
This programme starts with a Core Skills Workshop which is attended by the junior management team. This activity is very group focused so our client wanted to supplement it with some one-to-one coaching to consolidate learning and help the managers get the most out of the six months that followed.
Given that there are a lot of people involved in the programme, we needed to deliver a quick and cost-effective solution so proposed a two-day programme of speed coaching.
These high-energy coaching sessions last 30 minutes each and give individuals the chance to work one-on-one with one of our expert executive coaches.
During the sessions an experienced coach offers support, challenge and focus for individuals. This helps managers to process the learning, relate it to their real-world situation and decide on tangible actions.
The coach doesn’t tell the manager what they should be doing – Management Futures Speed Coaching is about achieving self-directed learning and action.
In just two days we coached 18 junior managers face to face, making a real difference at speed!
- 90% of attendees agreed that they developed a good rapport with the coach
- 90% of attendees agreed that they were able to consolidate their learnings from the Core Skills Workshop
- 100% of attendees agreed that the one-to-one session helped them to take what they had learnt during the Core Skills Workshop and apply it to their own particular circumstances
“I LOVED the speed coaching session. It was personalised and therefore addressed my needs. It really helped and I’m looking forward to having more if possible.”

“Speed coaching is the perfect addition to a larger development programme like our Core Skills Workshop – it helps people consolidate what can, at times, be generic learning points, making their learning more relevant to them and their challenges.”
