Coach and Client work as partners.

It’s one of MF’s six Coaching Principles, it’s a favourite of mine and, I believe, fundamental to successful coaching.

We believe partnership is key to success in anything we do. The work is always a collective endeavour, and collaboration is a strength multiplier.

We’re, of course, not alone in the belief!

One of my favourite MF memories of the year is joining ‘The Final Challenge’. It’s the culmination of individual learning journeys where leaders from many countries and specialisms assemble and share stories.

Each story is unique and one factor is ever present… the value each and every one of them ascribe to their fellow learners. They speak of support, challenge, friendship, generosity, team - and they cherish the connections made and the learning from the people they’ve worked with.

My colleague Kim attended a Leadership summit last month and shared a quote offered by one of the speakers.

I can buy in to that. And for me the magic comes when we learn with others.
