REALISING POTENTIAL

REALISING POTENTIAL

IN HOSPITALITY.

Since 2014, we've partnered with The Columbo Group – a young and vibrant hospitality group – to deliver a comprehensive leadership development programme.

Working with the General Managers and members of the management team, our aim was to take participants through a six-module programme.

The programme objectives varied for each module. Participants looked at their own leadership style and how to get the best from themselves – drawing upon Eastern philosophy for focus and clarity as well as theories on authentic, responsible and courageous leadership. They developed their skillset around creating and leading high-performing teams and coaching their teams to success.

With regular feedback, participants practiced influencing with integrity skills and received one-to-one coaching sessions focused on their development.

Participants were set action points throughout the programme to practice their new skills and embed their learning. They were also asked to give feedback at the end of each module on impact, relevance and what could be added to their programme.

I found the programme useful in understanding my way of management and how to communicate well when dealing with different styles of management. It gave me a good understanding of how to get the most out of your team in a structured and controlled environment. I thought the programme was very well structured and adapted to our industry very well.

Naomi Swift, Assistant General Manager, The Blues Kitchen Camden

I found the trainer awesome! The programme helped me attempt to integrate responsibility and courage whilst remaining authentic to myself. I would recommend it.

Clem Ogbonnaya, Promotions Manager, Paradise by way of Kensal Green

I have applied the skills learned on the programme already! Using clear direction and high standards, we increased starter sales by 15% this weekend! I used the team brainstorming to discover how we managed to increase our starter sales!

Anneka Swann, Assistant General Manager, Cat and Mutton

The programme helped me understand the importance of focus on making a paradigm shift to push towards goals. It might seem unachievable at first but are attainable if everyone commits to raising their game.

Paul Bishop, General Manager, The Old Queens Head

The programme helped me think about focussing on goals and end results – identifying what is most important to me and how I can apply this to my work.
