- Leadership skills
Steven's focus is upon developing organisational solutions
to confront rapid change, uncertainty and complexity. His
experience is derived from his earlier career as a military

public and private sector. His workshops on fast decision-making
under pressure are particularly popular.
Examples of his recent work include developing interventions:
- Supporting the development of appropriate leadership
behaviours in a complex healthcare organisation
- Developing leadership and innovation skills in a large
telecoms organisation through the use of group simulation
and outdoor exercises
- Training to enhance decision making skills for media
executives to develop thinking around participation and
collaboration derived from the aviation and high reliability
industries
During his flying career he held various positions encompassing
training and operational leadership roles including the periodic
command of fighter operations at airbase and national level,
exercising control of up to 15 Tornado aircraft and 250 personnel.
Steve underpins his practitioner skills with a first degree
in communication and media, an MBA from a leading business
school and the recent award of the Ashridge MSc in Organisation
