We worked with IBM to design and deliver a series of learning workshops for Consultants within Global Business Services team. The purpose was to support their strategic aim to unlock the potential of their people.

IBM is the world’s largest business consulting services organisation. With over 80,000 consultants they offer strategic business consulting alongside expertise in industry-specific business and IT issues. People Programme Manager, Sally Cross, wanted learning workshops that mirrored the company’s brand and ‘Fearless’ agenda, while introducing new learning to Senior People Managers.

Management Futures designed a series of skill-based workshops where leaders could learn, practice and network with each other.

Three specific workshops were on offer and 240 senior leaders, from around the UK and Ireland, were invited be part of these interactive workshops.

‘Coaching for Performance’ focused on techniques to help people do what they need to do skilfully, effectively and appropriately.

‘Coaching for Development’ gave leaders insights into helping themselves and their teams to work from their strengths and be ‘fearless’. Finally, ‘Coaching for Inner Insight’ was a masterclass of coaching skills for those leaders who had previous experience of coaching and gave them more tools in their repertoire.

IBM leaders found the workshop both enjoyable and informative and participated in their electives fully.

The team were very pleased with how the programmes were customised to meet the IBM style and were energised by how the People Leaders left the day with new tools and techniques that could be applied straight away.

We needed Management Futures to deliver significant value, have a high impact in a relatively short space of time and to fit with our coaching model. They achieved all of this. I was really impressed with their flexible approach and ideas to design and deliver these workshops to achieve the results we were looking for.
