Phil Hayes
Phil has established a reputation as a rigorous, tenacious and creative coach who can help clients think and act their way through the toughest of situations. He has a firm belief in the resourcefulness of people and their ability to find their way forward no matter what.
Phil is particularly interested in the applications of Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) within coaching, and combines this with knowledge of a wide range of psychological and management theory. His confidence and belief in the resourcefulness of his clients is infectious – many of them feed back increased confidence, clarity, enthusiasm and determination to take action around their issues. Phil has a particular expertise in team coaching, and has helped numerous clients resolve knotty disputes or plan for effective working relationships.

Phil has experience of working abroad, specifically in the Pacific Rim countries, and some experience in Uganda. He has recently published a book on coaching (‘NLP Coaching’ – OU Press 2006) and is currently developing a new course to train Team Coaches.
Phil has a Masters Degree in Management Learning; a BA honours degree, and (from a previous career) holds the CQSW social work qualification. He is an NLP Master practitioner and holds the ILM Post Graduate Diploma in coaching.
