Elspeth Cardy
Elspeth has worked as a qualified coach for the past 7 years, building on her experience in management and team leadership in national and international organisations. She believes that coaching can unleash the energy for significant personal and professional development, and positive change. Elspeth works with senior and middle managers at different stages of their careers, and enjoys the variety of the challenges people face. She is interested in working with middle managers seeking to progress to overcome barriers to growth and identifying the energy to achieve their aspirations. She also enjoys working with senior managers facing challenging workloads and difficult decisions. Many of her clients report increased confidence and sense of control, as well as new insights.

In addition to coaching, Elspeth currently supervises and assesses candidates for the ILM Diploma in Coaching; and trains.in coaching skills for managers.
Elspeth’s background is in national adult education, training, programme development and communications. She was instrumental in developing national and international training networks, publications and projects, in the context of European education and training initiatives. As a former Communications Director for the Education and Training Group of the British Council, Elspeth has led and chaired international working groups in education and worked regularly on European project development with colleagues from other countries. She recently worked as a team coach for an overseas office, is used to working in bilingual environments, and can work in French. In 2001 she was awarded the Honour of Chevalier dans l’ordre des Palmes Academiques by the French Government, for her services to international exchange and development with France and the French language.
