Sue has extensive senior management and consultancy experience, specialising in leadership development, executive coaching and organisational development. Both as a line manager and as a consultant, Sue has built experience and real capability in people development at all levels. She has successfully developed, managed and actively participated in succession planning and career development processes for senior managers; helped to develop customised competency frameworks for different organisations; and designed and implemented assessment and development centres for both external selection and internal development of staff.

As a coach, Sue brings intellect, creativity and real challenge to the personal development process; at the same time she shows genuine care and concern for the individual. Her approach has proved outstandingly successful in helping managers to develop and grow their leadership capability and as a result improve their performance.

She has also developed considerable expertise around the organisational and people implications that result from major structural changes (e.g. reorganisations, disposals, mergers and alliances) in both the public and private sectors. These situations often need different resource and leadership strategies to both cope with and capitalise on the challenges presented. Sue has developed both the experience of how to integrate and harmonise cultures and teams as well as the ability and confidence to rapidly recognise what will make individuals and teams more likely to succeed.

She is highly experienced (and is a licensed practioner) in the use of individual diagnostic tools. These include the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator Steps 1 & 2, the FIRO-B, the Strong Interest Inventory as well as culture inventories, influencing and facilitation diagnostics and 360-degrees questionnaires and feedback instruments. She has a Post Graduate level Diploma in Coaching, accredited by the ILM and is a NLP practioner. Her academic qualifications include a B.Sc. and FCIPD and she is a non-Executive Director of a not-for-profit dance organisation.
