Phil is currently coaching NHS chief executives, senior diplomats and ambassadors and prominent media heads. As a team coach he is helping a number of senior management teams to develop, including coaching a London borough executive team through a strategic planning process and working to develop the senior management team of a world-class medical college. 

Phil has worked as a coach with many different branches of industry, commerce and the public sector. As Operational Head of Leadership Development for the Brathay Hall Trust in Cumbria he worked with clients such as Rover, Nat West, John Lewis and the Standard Chartered bank, predominantly on leadership and team-building programmes: most of these programmes were focussed on outdoor-based learning.

Subsequently as an organisational consultant, team coach and facilitator his range of clients has included the British Oxygen Company, Wolverhampton and Dudley Brewery, Channel 4, Johnson & Johnson and the Telegraph Group.

Phil has a particular focus on leadership performance, including influencing and motivational techniques. By combining practicality with an array of radical coaching techniques Phil has developed a style of one-to-one and group development which today is helping a range of senior leaders to excel. He is a master practitioner in NLP and holds an MA in Management Learning from the University of Lancaster. He is author of ‘NLP Coaching’.
