Mike Stimson

Mike is a professionally qualified and experienced consultant specialising in personal and organisational development.  He was formerly Head of Training & Development for the British Council and in this role has had substantial experience managing and consulting overseas.  Since 1996 Mike has been Director of VIVA Consulting whose clients include British Petroleum, Cisco, the Hilton Hotel Group, Schlumberger, Sun Systems, HM Treasury and Voluntary Service Overseas.

Mike’s work includes executive coaching for senior managers, facilitation of strategic team development events and developing performance management systems with the accompanying training design and implementation.  He has experience of facilitation workshops on leadership, team development, coaching skills, cross-cultural management and positive influencing both in the UK and Argentina, Brazil, Croatia, Dubai, France, Ghana, India, Morocco and Russia.

Mike is a faculty member of Management Centre Europe delivering Managing People and Managing Cultural Diversity programmes.  He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Personal Development and is also qualified as an MBTI and FIRO-B practitioner  He is the co-author of Management in ELT.
