Module 4 Risky coaching

Coaching doesn’t always have to be safe. If safe coaching become predictable coaching then we are probably boring ourselves as well as letting our clients down. Also, some coaches are unnecessarily fearful about boundaries, for instance with therapy or dealing with the client’s personal issues. A coaching discussion should not be like a normal British conversation.

This workshop will ask you to consider going beyond polite and enter riskier territory.
Specifically we will look at:

• Ways to tell clients things no one else dares to mention
• How to use the material the client generates in the relationship with you
• Successful ways to work with highly stressed or traumatised clients
• What there is to be learnt from Provocative Therapy that can be usefully applied to coaching
