Developing the Talent: Coaching Skills for Managers (NEW)
Why do this course?
In the past decade or so executive and management coaching has developed to the point that most organisations in the UK now embrace it in some form. Increasingly, organisations are looking to develop a coaching capability in their leaders and line managers. The reason for this rapid growth is simple - coaching works: the 2009 CIDP survey confirms that coaching ranks as the most highly rated development activity in UK organisations. One tangible example of this is that managers who take a coaching approach with their staff consistently report significant payoffs in terms of time saved and improvement in staff performance and morale.
This course aims to give managers a solid grounding in coaching skills that they can use flexibly ‘on the job’, or in more structured coaching sessions. Managers will gain reassurance and confidence that the skills they employ in coaching their staff are grounded in best practice, and that they are taught by one of the UK’s most experienced and respected coaching organisations, practising to internationally recognised standards. The ability to coach staff skilfully is set to become a core management and leadership competency over the coming years and this course will offer a solid and professional grounding in the core skills needed.
