Retirement is a major life event although it is becoming increasingly blurred and ambiguous as a transition. It has important implications for the rest of people’s lives. This APN will consider the psychological impact of retirement and explore how coaching can assist all stages of the transition

It will draw on research on the impact of control over retirement decisions, on individual differences in ways people tackle life transitions, and on the pathways and risks they face. With an increasingly ageing populating in the West, this is an emerging niche in the coaching market which presents considerable challenges and rewards for coaches
