Best-seller poised for new life!
Management Futures' two books on the Myers Briggs Type Indicator® are about to take a new lease of life in a second edition after many first edition re-prints. Jenny Rogers’ bestselling books, Sixteen Personality Types and its companion, Influencing with the Sixteen Types are published this month in spanking new editions.
The popular one-page descriptions of the type profiles are maintained in the updated new edition of Sixteen Personality Types with an extended description of type dynamics and type development. Also updated are the fascinating statistics from our co-publishers ASK Europe of the frequency of the different types in leadership roles and the distribution across the four preferences. Written specifically for a UK and European readership and eschewing all that off-putting type jargon, the books represent the fruits of a year-long project into how psychological type affects leadership style. Matching MBTI theory, this showed that it was perfectly possible to be an effective leader as any one of the 16 types though, as ASK’s research shows, some types still crop up more often than othersin leadership roles – for example, Feeling preference types being much less common than those with a preference for Thinking.
Jenny says,‘The MBTI continues to be the gold standard in its field, superb for the safe way it can help people understand themselves. When I wrote the original profiles, I was keen to describe the leadership pluses of each type but also not to soft-pedal the downsides and to present the typical challenges that your psychological profile creates.’
Sixteen Personality Types is sold in packs of 100 or more to management colleges and as single copies to individuals. Price: single copy £11 plus £1 p&p; 20 copies £180 plus £15 p&p; 100 copies £900 plus £25 p&p. Credit card hotline: 020 7242 4030, ask for Brian.
